How to Play
- Everyone peeks. Pass the phone around. Each player holds the card to see the secret word, then lets go to hide it.
- Except the imposter. One sneaky player doesn’t get the word and has to fake it.
- Give one-word clues. Take turns saying one word about the secret. Not too obvious — the imposter is listening!
- Vote them out. Point at who you think is faking. If you catch the imposter, they get one guess at the word to steal the win.

FAQ
Are there any in-app purchases or subscriptions?
No. You pay once and everything is included: all categories, all game modes and every future word update. There are no ads.
Do we need Wi-Fi or an account?
No. Fake Mustache works completely offline with just one phone. There is no sign-up.
How many people can play?
3 to 20 players. With 5 or more players you can have 2 imposters, and with 7 or more you can have 3.
Is it OK for kids?
Yes. All words are family-friendly. Turn on Picture Mode in Game Setup to show a big picture with each word — great for younger kids who are still learning to read.
Can I use it in my classroom?
Yes! The Classroom categories (School Day, U.S. History, Math & Shapes) are made for review games in class.
What does “Help for the imposter” do?
It sets what the imposter sees: None (hard mode), Category (for example “Food”), or Clue (a vague hint word — the easiest).
It feels like the same person is always the imposter.
The imposter is picked at random, but players who haven’t been the imposter for a while are more likely to be picked next, and nobody can be the imposter three rounds in a row.
Will words repeat?
Words don’t repeat until you’ve played every word in your selected categories. To start fresh, open Settings (gear icon) and tap “Reset word history & scores”.

Fake Mustache (“the App”) is provided by an independent developer (“we”). This policy explains how the App handles information.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet.
Player names and settings
Player names you type, your game settings, scores and the list of words already played are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to any third party.
Purchase
The App is purchased through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we do not receive your name, email address or payment information. Please see

Children’s Privacy
The App is a family party game that may be played by children. Because we do not collect, store or share any personal information from anyone, including children under 13, no personal information is collected under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Deleting Your Data
You can clear the word history and scores at any time from Settings → “Reset word history & scores”. You can edit or remove player names in Game Setup. Deleting the App removes all data stored on the device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
