How to Play
- Pick the prey. Field Mouse, Sun Beetle, Pond Fish, Feather Wand, Light Dot or Fireflies.
- Tune the hunt. Choose the speed (Lazy, Curious or Wild), how many prey, how long, and whether sounds play.
- Set your device flat on the floor. Screen up, then step back and let your cat hunt.
- End the hunt. Press and hold the paw in the top corner. A quick tap, or a paw, won’t end it.
- Read the report. See catches, pounces and time, share a card, and check the Hunt Log to find your cat’s favorite prey.

FAQ
My cat isn’t interested. What can I try?
Every cat is different. Try Lazy speed, a darker room, or a different prey. Some cats watch for a while before their first pounce. Short hunts a few times a day work better than one long one.
My cat keeps leaving the app.
Prowl has no buttons a paw can tap by accident. To lock your device to Prowl completely, turn on Guided Access in Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access, then triple-click the side (or Home) button during a hunt. In Prowl’s Settings you can also choose “Clever cat” so the paw must be held for 2.5 seconds.
How does the hunt end?
With a time limit, the prey slows down at the end so the last pounce is a catch. With No limit, press and hold the paw in the corner whenever you’re done.
Will my cat scratch the screen?
Most cats tap with soft paws. If yours hunts with claws out, a screen protector is a good idea.
There’s no sound.
Check that Sound is on before you start the hunt, and turn up the volume. Prowl plays sound even when the silent switch is on.
How is the favorite prey worked out?
The Hunt Log compares catches per minute for each prey. Play at least two kinds for a minute or more each to see your cat’s hunter type.
How do I clear the Hunt Log?
Open Settings and tap Clear Hunt Log.

Prowl (“the App”) is provided by an independent developer (“we”). This policy explains how the App handles information.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet.
Your cat’s name and Hunt Log
The name you enter and the results of each hunt (prey, time, catches and pounces) are stored only on your device.
Camera, microphone and location
The App does not use the camera, the microphone or your location.
Purchase
The App is purchased through the App Store. Apple processes the payment, and we do not receive your name, email address or payment information. Please see

Sharing
If you share a hunt report card, the image goes only where you choose to send it.
Children’s Privacy
We do not collect, store or share any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Deleting Your Data
You can clear the Hunt Log in Settings. Deleting the App removes all of its data from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
